Cameron & District Wins Best Drum Corps At Chicago Scottish Festival & Highland Games

Kansas City, Missouri - The Cameron & District Pipe Band of Kansas City took to the competition field in Itasca, Illinois (Chicago) on June 17, 2023, in the Grade 3 pipe band competition. Forty seven bands in various grades competed on the day at the 37th annual Chicago Scottish Festival & Highland Games in what has become the largest pipe band contest in North America.

Cameron & District performed its MSR and Medley, winning Best Overall Drum Corps in Grade 3 and an aggregate band score of 6th place out of nine Grade 3 bands. The band congratulates St. Columcille United Gaelic Pipe Band (1st), City of Angels Pipe Band (2nd and Best Bass/Midsection), Nashville Pipes and Drums (3rd), and Kevin R. Blandford Memorial Pipe Band (4th).

The Midwest Pipe Band Association sanctioned and organized what was a great day of competition and camaraderie.
